Green Light Social

not.travis made painted work at Green Light Social in Dallas. Studio photographs document surfaces inside the venue, including a stairwell portrait crossed by red marks on dark walls. The painting belongs to a room people moved through and photographed, rather than a canvas separated from its site. The red marks extend across a dark interior surface. As people move through the stairwell, the portrait is encountered from changing positions instead of one fixed viewing distance. Dallas Observer named Green Light Social among the artist's public projects.
