I created Cella to connect art with the people, places, and history around it. Public artwork records are the starting point. Workspaces give artists, collectors, galleries, and cities tools to work with those records.
I know what it means to lose a wall.
The physical work does not always last. The connection to its artist should. My mural at 2633 Main Street is one reason this matters to me. Its Cella page keeps the surviving photograph, attribution, published documentation, and reported removal history in one place.
More than a record.
I approach Cella as an artist, collector, and gallery owner. The public record is one part. The day-to-day work around art needs a place too: managing a collection, organizing an exhibition, correcting a credit, or caring for a work in public.
